An UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) is an electrical apparatus that provides temporary emergency power to protect electronic devices from unexpected power failures and shut down the devices in a safe manner. The UPS also receives and sends back status requests so that EonStor GS and EonStor GSe can safely switch to “safe mode” without losing vital data.
