Document imaging distributor Forefront Technologies is showcasing the ScanRobot SR300, a fully-automatic book scanner.

Targeted at libraries, museums and universities, regional sales manager for Forefront Technologies, Johni R Jabbor, says the ScanRobot is "perfect for anyone who wants to convert books to a digital format in a very short time".

The auto-flip book scanner can digitally store 1500 pages every hour. "It's a brand new machine featuring very new technology," explains Jabbor.

Forefront Technologies first brought a book scanner to GITEX Technology Week four years ago and since then demand has been incredible, Jabbor says.

"I know that we are overbooked. Even the machine we are showcasing at GITEX is sold and as soon as we are done here, it will be sent to Europe to the purchaser."
