Tandberg Data's RDX QuikStor, a removable storage system, offers rugged, reliable and convenient storage for backup, archive, data interchange and disaster recovery.

RDX QUIKSTOR is designed to sustain data transfers up to 45MB/sec - that’s more than 160GB/Hr. With capacities of 80, 160 and 300 GB of data on a single cartridge you have enough capacity to back up your entire computer, ensuring your data is fully protected yet instantly available. Recording is fast - so is backup restoration. There is none of the rewind delay of tape systems. Access is near-instant, allowing you to work directly with data on the cartridge, just as you would with any other hard drive.

RDX QuikStor now offers "Always-on” continuous protection of user data and a complete backup of all system and application data.

Research has shown that 40% of small and medium businesses don’t back up their data at all, and 60% of all data is stored on PC desktops and laptops. Furthermore, most business users who do have a back-up device do not back up their data on a daily or even weekly basis. A third of computer users lose all files due to events beyond their control, and hard drive crashes occur every 15 seconds. A plug and play, ruggedized device that offers CDP, automatically, will be able to prevent disastrous data loss.

With the new RDX FileKeeper software, protecting data is as simple as “plug it in, leave it in and leave it on”. Tandberg Data ships the RDX FileKeeper, at no extra cost, with all RDX QuikStor drive kits.

The RDX QuikStor is fully backward and forward compatible, so you protect your investment in both the drive and the media.

The cartridge is incredibly rugged and shock resistant to accommodate accidental falls from the rack or desk.

Tandberg Data internal tests and third party drop tests have verified that the cartridge can fall from a 1 meter height onto a concrete floor, without incurring any impact damage.

In addition, RDX cartridges are specified for 5,000 load/unload cycles - which will provide over 10 years of daily use.
